AMP SECURE™ is designed for quick, efficient single-person installation, allowing for fixtures to be easily connected and projects completed on time, without extra hands.

Step 1

Power Off - Ensure power to the circuit is turned off for safe installation.

Step 2

Prepare - Remove the mounting bracket from the fixture and attach it to the junction box.

Step 3

Tether - Using our standard built-in tether, secure the fixture to the mounting bracket for easy wiring.

Step 4

Connect - Carefully connect the fixture’s wires to the corresponding wires in the junction box.

Step 5

Mount - Securely mount the AMP SECURE™ fixture onto the bracket for a polished finish.

With multiple lumen levels, each luminaire can easily be installed at a variety of mounting heights, while CCT options of 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K allow contractors to create the perfect atmosphere for both commercial and residential spaces.

Where and why should I install AMP Secure outdoor lighting?

How high should I mount outdoor flood lights?

Mounting outdoor luminaires varies by product and lumen levels. It is common for some of our smaller luminaires to be mounted at 8’ to 12’ heights. For our larger luminaires with higherlumenlevelsthemountingheightsrangefrom16’to30’mountingheights. See individual specification sheets for the suggested mounting height for each luminaire. Always remember to adjust the angle of the lights to avoid shining directly into neighbors’ windows or causing light pollution.

Do all AMP Secure luminaires come with selectable lumen levels and selectable Correlated Color Temperature (CCT)?

Yes! All of the AMP Secure luminaires come standard with variable lumens and CCT levels. The switches to change the lumens or CCT are mounted on the exterior of the luminaire, allowing for adjustments after the installation. See installation instructions for further details.

What are the advantages of selectable lumen and CCT levels?

Selectable lumens allow for variable mounting heights while using or stocking one luminaire. Variable mounting height options make these luminaires suitable for diverse applications, from residential properties to commercial and public spaces. They can be adapted to different environments, ensuring effective lighting regardless of the setting. Higher mounting heights can cover larger spaces, while lower heights focus light on specific spots, providing better coverage and uniformity.

Variable CCT levels add additional depth to the AMP Secure family of products, with variable CCT of 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K one luminaire can be comfortably installed for a residential application at 3000K and for commercial lighting at 4000K and 5000K.

AMP Secure luminaires are extremely flexible and reduce inventory needs while satisfying all stocking needs.

Yes! Our luminaires are precision die-cast aluminum in construction and have a rugged Marine Grade polyester powder coat paint, rated to 1,000 hour salt spray test per ASTM B117.

How do AMP Secure luminaires install onto a home or building facade?

All the wall mounted flood lights and the wallpack have a universal mounting bracket to mount to a common junction box. See our installation sheets for additional details.
The AMP Secure Area Light offers three industry standard mounting methods.
Arm Mount – Used to install to the side of 3” to 6” diameter and square poles. The Arm Mount option can be installed onto any flat surface.

Slipfitter Mount – The Slipfitter Mount allows for installation onto the top of a pole that has a tenon mount. The slipfitter accepts 2 3/8” standard tenon diameters.

Trunnion Mount – The Trunnion Mount is versatile as it can be installed onto any flat surface. The trunnion mount allows for adjustability of the luminaire and installations space might be a limitation.

Does AMP Lighting sell poles for the area lights?

AMP Lighting works with a variety of national suppliers that will help with selection of poles for various US locations. Including local and state code requirements and wind rating requirements.

What is an EPA rating on your Area Light specification sheets?

An EPA rating for a lighting fixture refers to its Effective Projected Area in relation to wind load. It quantifies the amount of surface area of the fixture (or any attached components, like arms, reflectors, etc.) that is exposed to the wind, which contributes to the overall wind resistance or load.

Similar to the EPA rating for lighting poles, the EPA rating for a lighting fixture helps engineers understand how much wind force the fixture can withstand and ensures that it will remain stable and functional in the environmental conditions it will face.
