Setup the Gateway
The AMP iQ™ Gateway can be set up by the homeowner or the contractor. But you’ll need the Wi-Fi network name and password. Install the Gateway indoors within 20 feet of the Wi-Fi router for reliable communication. You can connect by Wi-Fi, or use the included Ethernet cable. The Gateway is not rated for outdoor use.
Now power on the Gateway and watch the status light:
- Orange means setup mode
- Flashing blue means pairing mode
- Solid blue means connected
To add in the app:
- Tap the plus icon in the top right corner
- Tap Add Device while the Gateway is in pairing mode
- Select the Gateway when it appears
- Enter the Wi-Fi information and password
Once added successfully, you’ll see a green check mark. Name the Gateway so it’s easy to identify later.
