AMP® Landscape Lighting Kits
Tampa, Florida | April 11, 2019
Designing a landscape lighting layout for a client can be a back-and-forth process of deciding where light fixtures should be installed, and which types of fixtures should be used. Dealing with a client who is unsure about what they want or what they need can become a time-consuming endeavor, and ultimately cost a contractor time and money; even more so if you considered the potential jobs forfeited due to timing and scheduling conflicts. Thanks to the engineers at AMP®, professional lighting designers can simplify this entire process by offering Landscape Lighting Kits to clients.
Landscape Lighting Kits
Low-voltage landscape lighting kits offer the convenience that professionals need and the affordability that homeowners want. Kits are especially handy offers as they are pre-assembled bundles with all of the essentials needed for a landscape lighting system; offered at a reduced cost for additional savings. For most kits, minimal product assembly is required and detailed installation instructions are often included. Select expansion kits are also available for expanding a system that is already installed.
With less effort needed in the planning process, more homeowners would also be inclined to help with the design process. This helps reassure contractors that they are indeed giving the client exactly what they asked for.
As with any home improvement project, it is always best to plan accordingly:
- Create a detailed schematic; size up the yard to get an idea of the number of fixtures needed.
- Compare the size of the layout to the kits offered; determine if you would need multiple kits or, one kit and expansion kits.
- If only one kit is needed and an expansion kit would be too large, single fixtures can still be individually added to a kit system (be sure to verify wattage).
- Be sure to grab a set of water-proof, direct-burial rated wire connectors and any other tools or materials that you may need for project installation.
